Rio de Janeiro Street Carnival
The challenge was to create a joyful and contemporary identity for Rio’s first street carnival after the pandemic—one that could give visibility to multiple sponsors without becoming visually overwhelming.
I assembled an independent creative team and led the creative direction. We developed a flexible system combining my original illustrations, bold patterns, and lambe-lambe-inspired graphics. The identity was applied across the city, from event spaces, uniforms, vendor equipment, and wayfinding to digital platforms, fleet graphics, and photo opportunities.
The project was warmly embraced by the public, who spontaneously photographed and shared the visual elements across social media.
